The News Grind is a satirical website featuring spoof news articles, established way back in May 2010.
The site is a showcase for people who enjoy writing amusing bits and bobs. It will hopefully become a destination for folk who don’t take life too seriously and a haven in which to shelter from the current bombardment of po-faced churnalism.

Name: Crispin Fisher
Bio: Crispin left university with a comedy degree in Politics and kicked off his comedy career selling rude and crude ideas to greetings card firms.
Unable to afford the plastic surgery necessary to pursue a career in stand up comedy, Crispin focused on the wireless and his topical one-liners ensured frequent mentions on Week Ending and the News Huddlines. He then took his briefcase full of sick gags and flogged them to Channel 4’s The 11 o’clock Show.
Crispin penned one-liners for Rory Bremner and briefly teamed up with Jimmy Carr supplying him with many gags for his early TV appearances and his Internet show.
He has also supplied material and ideas to stand up comedians including Mark Rough, Jamie Sutherland, Patrick Monahan and Dominic Woodward.
Last year he made headlines by designing a Christmas card which poked fun at ginger people and was eventually withdrawn by Tesco.
Crispin supplies gags for wedding speeches and so far none of his jokes have directly resulted in a couple filing for divorce before the end of their honeymoon.
> He publishes a daily blog containing topical jokes, www.newshuddlines.blogspot.com
