Leaked photographs of Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson’s arse and breasts are evidence phone hacking can have a positive impact, admits a campaigning politician.
Anti-hacking Labour MP Tom Watson says he could have been wrong to have dismissed wholesale the practice of illegally accessing the phones of celebrities and victims in light of the leaked images.
“Clearly there’s an upside to hacking into people’s phones – and quite a backside too,” chortled Watson.
“And if you’d told me yesterday morning that I’d be staring at a picture of Scarlett Johansson’s right boob on my lunch break I’d have said ‘I don’t care who got them or how they got them, that’ll do for me.’”
The Johannson images are the latest in a string of photographs taken from celebrity mobile phones and published on the internet.
But in the wake of countless male rappers flashing their bits this is the first time anyone has really cared.
