X Factor judge Tulisa is reportedly at loggerheads with the competition’s only remaining group after doubting the appeal of Little Mix’s chosen song for this week’s competition, writes Hard Jackson.
Tulisa criticised the choice of Diana Ross’s Chain Reaction, arguing that the song was “obscure” and “forgettable”.
“I don’t know the song – and if I don’t know a song you can bet it ain’t worth knowing,” said the former N-Dubz singer, known for such songs as [editor - please insert some N-Dubz songs here. Did I even spell N-Dubz right? To be honest I've never heard of them].
The incident is the latest in which a song has been vetoed by Tulisa due to her failure to recognise songs by The Four Tops, David Bowie, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, The Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, The Jam, George Michael, Oasis, The Who, The Kinks, Aretha Franklin, Rod Stewart, Elvis Presley, Dusty Springfield, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Jones, Elton John and Mansun.
She is also said to have caused embarrassment with her claim that Gary Barlow was a founding member of The Beatles and her belief that Bryan Adams was the lead songwriter in “the Beach Brothers”.
Unconfirmed rumours indicate that Tulisa suggested Little Mix sing Like a Virgin during the show’s Queen week and was swiftly corrected by 18-year-old Geordie urchin Perrie Edwards. The mentor is believed to be under the impression that Freddie Mercury was a biblical character who featured in the film Flash Gordon.
Tulisa lists her favourite album is “The Best of Whitney Houston”, her favourite film as “Scarface” and and her favourite food as “McDonalds”. Her least favourite trait in others is “disrespecting”. Her favourite sex position is “anal”.
