Arsene Wenger
Under-fire Arsene Wenger bowed to fan pressure for silverware today and made an audacious bid for Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
After losing 8-2 to the Red Devils, Wenger finally succumbed to fan pleas to spend big to win trophies and put in a offer of £32million to the Old Trafford hierarchy in a bid to get his man.
“I believe Sir Alex has the qualities we need to win trophies,” said a philosophical Wenger as he faced the press after his team’s mauling at the hands of Man U.
“He has not only spent big, but has also spent wisely. He could well do a job for us as we look to win some silverware.”
It is understood Wenger has offered himself up as a make-weight in the deal.
“For us to concede five goals to Manchester United in one game shows Sir Alex has what it takes to move Arsenal onto the next level,” said Wenger.
When it was pointed out Arsenal conceded eight goals, the Frenchman replied: “I saw only five. So it was five-two in my book.”

am very disappointed about our manager who is just selling players but not buying players surely as a coach keep players if we have to keep players not this young ones. Us in zambia we are not happy with the were our team we support can be beaten just like that.
