The Daily Mail has launched an astonishing attack on the Daily Mail after it continued to print lewd images of X Factor stars Rihanna and Christina Aguilera.
After calling on the media watchdog Ofcom to investigate how images of the scantily-clad performers were allowed to aired on ITV in the X Factor final, the paper today demanded they too be investigated over the same images appearing in their publication.
“How dare we continue to print these offensive images when we have made it clear time and time again that they are not suitable for family viewing?” blasted a Daily Mail insider last night.
“Ofcom need to come down hard on ITV and everyone here at the Daily Mail for offending the sensibilities of the British public.”
Daily Mail Editor Paul Dacre was said to be furious over the “disgusting” images.
“I was particularly offended by the photo of Rihanna that I chose,” fumed Dacre. “Her pert breasts bobbling as she leaned seductively over a chair as her long slender legs glistened with beads of perspiration, was a choice I made that is simply unacceptable.
“Not content on publishing the harrowing photo of Rihanna, I was shocked to discover that I also included photographs of that harlot Christina Aguilera.
“Why I chose a photo of Aguilera with her fish-net clad legs wide open and her love pillows spilling out of her bodice, when a headshot of Lois Walsh would have sufficed, is a thought that will keep me awake at nights for years to come.”
As The News Grind went to press, the Daily Mail found itself facing more agony as the earth-shattering story they were to run reporting that Cameron Diaz has taken a holiday, only came with photos of her in a bikini holding a paddle.
“Why is god doing this to us?” Dacre was heard to cry at his sub-editors. Adding: “Use the one where you can almost see her minge.”
