Apple announces Steve Jobs S

The death of Steve Jobs at 56 has forced Apple to bring forward the announcement of its Steve Jobs S model.

The electronics giant had hoped to unveil the much-anticipated Steve Jobs 2, but release of the company’s new chairman has been delayed until Summer 2012 in favour of a temporary upgrade.

Meanwhile tributes are pouring in for Jobs, the man who revolutionised the computing, music, media and turtleneck sweater industries with his genius for design and consumer appeal as well as his horrific dress sense.

Jobs’s knack for creating consumer electronics devices which never quite did everything you wanted until the next version came out a year later helped him to turn Apple into the second most valuable company on the planet.

He will be buried in a 64Gb, Wi-Fi iCoffin.

Jobs will perhaps be best remembered for making Bill Gates look about as cool as the unimaginably hot centre of the sun for the last thirty years.

Flags are being flown as half-mast outside the Seattle headquarters of US turtleneck firm Turtle Control.

> RIP Steve Jobs “Stay hungry. Stay foolish.”
