Angry Blackburn Rovers fans demand defeat

Blackburn Rovers: Boo we go, boo we go…

Blackburn Rovers fans calling for the head of manager Steve Kean have pleaded with the club to work harder in stringing together a series of damaging defeats.

“All we want is a bit of consistency,” said Sack Steve Kean organiser Tam McNulty, 34, as he handed a 15,000 name petition to club officials today demanding nine defeats and a draw over the next 10 games.

“To be honest, I blame the players. Steve’s done his best to prepare the team for a string of humiliating defeats, but there’s little he can do once they cross that white line.”

Victories against Manchester United, Fulham and a draw with Liverpool in the last two months have derailed the Kean Out campaign as they head into the final Premier League straight.

“Hat’s off to the boys with a cup defeat at Newcastle,” said Blackburn fan Dan Meyer, 22, “But their determination to succeed is beginning to wear a little thin on the terraces.”

In a show of loyalty to the club, an estimated 17,000 Blackburn fans are to orchestrate 15 minutes of continuous booing at next Wednesday’s game against Newcastle.

“We have asked every true Blackburn fan to boo the team with all their might,” said Mr McNulty. “For full impact, fans are requested to begin booing as soon as Blackburn score.”
