The News Grind has smashed a new scam involving crooked Pakistani cricketers.
Our top investigations team has overheard conversations between some of Pakistan’s best players where they hope to actually win a match by playing as well as they can.
One of the conversations included the damning line from a fast bowler: “Everyone thinks we are rubbish so let’s try our best, practice really hard and give it 100%.”
In reply an experienced batsmen says: “Yes let’s do it. I’m going to get down the nets now with the rest of the team to put some hours in.
“We can practice our fielding as well and I reckon we should make sure we stop doing all those no-balls. Come on let’s do it for Pakistan.”
A spokesman for the Pakistan Cricket team told the News Grind: “Trying your best is not the Pakistani way and we will do everything in our power to stamp it out. We will refer this to the proper cricketing authorities. ”
