Today’s football transfer rumours featuring Chelsea, LA Galaxy, Swansea and Bolton.
LA Galaxy’s pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard continues, and the offer to play for the MLS has been extended to include a TV presenting role in the USA.
Lampard could become the new host of Man vs Food, facing up to an eating challenge each week, such as wolfing down a 4ft pizza in an hour or munching on a 2ft hotdog with 4lbs of chilli.
A spokesman for the show said: “Frank is our first choice. He’s got the charisma and presence to carry off the difficult presenting role and obviously, he is well equipped to take part in the challenges.”
Meanwhile, Swansea boss Brendan Rogers has said it will take a bid of £30m for him to part with any of his stars during this transfer window.
Rogers is famous for his comedy and deadpan delivery; he goes on tour with Michael McIntyre this summer so that McIntyre can steal all his best jokes.
Finally, Bolton Wanderers look set to get involved in the transfer fun, bringing in French striker Sebastien Le Toux from Philadelphia Union.
Le Toux translates into English as “for cough” which is exactly what Bolton will be doing in May.
