It is thought the travel problems will increase the number of loyal Liverpool fans using illegal internet streaming to watch the game to around 12m.
Meanwhile, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich continues to flutter his eyelashes in the direction of Europe’s top managers in an attempt to undermine manager Andre Villas-Boas.
AVB, as he is known to lazy computer-monkeys, is the bookies’ favourite to be next Premier League manager to get the sack and his unknown successor is 2nd favourite. The man replacing that successor is 4th favourite for the chop, behind Steve Kean.
Finally, Russian club Anzhi continue their barmy collection of grumpy footballers with the signing of Chris Samba from Blackburn.
Next on their list of furious and miserable footballets is raging striker Djibril Cisse and angry midfielder Lee Cattermole with permanently annoyed Mark Hughes a suitably gruff manager.
