Alex Ferguson has banned Michael Owen from training after he asked him if ‘Giggsy was alright’.

The former England centre foward was told to immediately leave the Carrington complex following the question about the midfielder at the centre of the super-injunction storm.

Sir Alex gave him the hairdryer treatment as all United players had been informed on Monday that they were not allowed to refer to Ryan Giggs by name anywhere in the known world, or elsewhere in the Solar System.

Ferguson was picked up on Sky TV cameras as saying: “Yer cannae say Ryan Giggs’ name yer useless scouse plank. It’s the lawrrrr. Get out.”

Rio Ferdinand is thought to have started laughing and shouted “You’ve said Ryan’s name as well boss…ban yourself innit,” before Wayne Rooney stepped in to make a brief speech about how the “Welshman with no name has taken all the heat off me and I will always be truly thankful.”

The club is set to give black paint to stewards at the Champions League Final at Wembley on Saturday so they can black out any banners which refer to Giggs, who if he plays will wear a blank, nameless shirt.
