Ex-Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has made his first move back into football today by adding his name to an online petition calling for the head of Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Keane.
The former Manchester United defender logged onto www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/sackstevekean and registered his name early today.
“It’s time for new blood at Blackburn,” revealed the former Wigan boss, “results for Steve Kean have just not been good enough.
“The Venkys need to look for a more solid performer with a proven track record. Not a brilliant record, but a sort of middling kind of showing. Someone relatively cheap, but quite easy going. And currently available. They shouldn‘t rule out another Steve either.”
As The News Grind went to press, Bruce had just Googled “Bolton Coyle sack petition.”
